This is a two day course aimed at discussing the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery and the principles that every surgeon must learn before practicing minimal invasive surgery in theatre. The skills required for improving eye hand co-ordination, tissue manipulation and dissection will be taught on this course.

Thursday 18th April 2013
This one day course is aimed at the doctors in training. The course is designed to teach the fundamental principles about theatre set up in routine and complex laparoscopic cases. During this course we will discuss about the basic equipment requirement for these operations as well as specialist equipment required for complex and advanced procedures. It is crucial that the theatre environment should be safe not only for the patient but also for the surgeon and the team present. These aspects will be discussed in this course.

Friday 19th April 2013
This innovative course is designed to help young surgeons learn and understand the principles of assessment for those patients who may require laparoscopic surgical procedures. This course will allow the young doctors to be able to identify, assess and finally decide about the management of their patients in the outpatient clinic, inpatient, and emergency setting. There will be discussion about the routine surgical procedures as well as the modern trends and changes in laparoscopic surgery at a global level.
